Correct Milltek clamp fitment
If you have leaking joints or are unsure how to fit the band clamps, then please see below:
Clamps should be fitted as shown below, they are intended to overhang the pipe which they are clamping by a few milimeters and cover all the slots.
Clamping too far back and not over the slotted area can result in pipe distortion, which may lead to gaps which can not be sealed, in the event of this, silicone exhaust paste will be required to plug the leak.
There is no specific torque rating for our clamps, they should be tightened by hand until tight, then all clamps should be tested for tightness again once a test run of the vehicle has been completed.
Never tighten with an impact gun, only tighten by hand with a 13mm spanner or ratchet.
